Sometimes you just have to breath deeply and exhale slowly as life seems to be very different from what you ever expected it to be. I haven't been blogging for awhile because of family issues and life's adventures, but I had to chart at least a few family milestones.
The Baby-
threw her first temper tantrum today when she couldn't have her Dad because I was cutting his hair.
Is saying full phrases like: I want to go go. Mom went bye bye. Hi Dada! Hi Mom! I won more juice. She did it. Won ta watch Choo choo.
Is growing like a weed and my only ever chubby baby is now as tall and skinny as her sisters have been.
Loves I mean LOVES eggs and carrots (A little weird I think, but at least they are good for her).
Is an avid outdoors woman. She would rather be outside than anywhere else (play gym? forget it, I can go see the trees)
Is sliding down the toddler sized slides at the park.
Is the biggest Daddy's girl in the world. (this is good because I was one myself and still am)
Is starting to put blocks together and developing hand eye coordination.
The Middle Child
Would rather not eat anything but carbohydrate and sweets.
Is trying to learn code breaking and looks for patterns in everything even in people.
Is bored with school so I have to pick up the pace and be more creative.
Loves Ben 10 and Scooby Doo.
Has decided to overcome her fears one fear at a time, and recently has done several brave things.
Is still a Mommas girl, and would rather spend time with me than with almost anyone else (her one cousin might be the exception-you know who you are)
Of all of my kids is the only one built like the hubby's family (short, and with a bubble butt), but is more like me than the rest when it comes to academics, interests, and reasoning.
Loves Van Gogh and has her room covered with his pieces (too bad they are not originals because he is one of my favorites as well)
The Oldest
Is working really hard to get ahead in studies.
Is artistic in everything. Likes to dance to her own beat.
Likes to decorate her own shoes, wear bright colors and mix and match in a way I am always uncomfortable doing.
Is exceptionally brave and will face anything and stand up to anyone.
Always stands up for the underdog. She will defend and befriend anyone who is the outcast, picked on, etc.
Loves the works of Picasso, and will relate feelings deeper than I comprehend in his works. (He is my least favorite artist-I just don't get it?)
Has decided to be a rock star when she grows up.
Is going to do Spirit squad in the fall and gymnastics this summer
Has the same face as her mom but with my oldest sisters eye and hair color (I always wanted those green eyes.
Has her first crush at thirteen! Surprisingly enough I was ready for her to hit this stage-Dad-not so much.
The Husband
Recently lost twenty five pounds and is looking really good.
Still flirts with me and acts as if we are dating on a daily basis. (I know I am seriously lucky)
Has been getting flood work lately which is good for us, but bad for the homeowners/business owners who have had the floods.
Has been going on ride alongs with his friend who is a police officer, and having fun with it.
Is almost done with the Microeconomics class he has been taking.
Me
I fit into my size 8 pants, but won't feel really good until I am a 6 again.
I have been socializing more as well.
I love Yoga and mountain biking, but share an equal portion of love for cookies, chocolate, and Dr. Pepper or I might already be a size 6.
Spent the last full moon in my backyard with a cup of cocoa and my telescope.
Want to go on vacation BADLY
Am studying the effects of people on their environment and finding it fascinating.
Seriously considering taking dancing lessons with the Husband to try to overcome my clumsiness (but then again the husband finds it attractive so maybe not)
Find myself wishing daily that I was done with my Masters degree already so that I could start my dream job in my dream city.
So there it is a quick deep breath and exhale post about the happenings of our family at this point. We will see what the next month holds.
