Sleeping beauty had nothing on this girl.

It was a good thing that her dad was there to catch her head after he fed her those magical eggs this morning.

"Mom He Likes It!"

I like the comforter from my bed as well!!! Of course, I prefer it to be left ON the bed :-)

What October Brings

I love Autumn and October is a very special month indeed. I met and began dating my husband in October. I also have nothing but good memories from this time of year. I have even learned to appreciate the slightest hint of it in the Arizona climate through the few degrees cooler it becomes. One of my favorite fall past times....BAKING! I love to bake (who knew that would happen), and I love my cream filled pumpkin muffins. They are a hit every time someone so much as smells them, and I have gotten flowers three times from the hubby for making them-they are that good. What is next? Caramel Popcorn for the kids, and mine stays soft-Thank you mom for teaching me how to tell the right temperature. Then apple pie, and moms spaghetti.

Lets not ask for the moon...we already have the stars

That was a line from Camille by Bette Davis. We spent last weekend gazing at the stars through the Clark and other telescopes up at the Lowell Observatory during Flagstaffs Festival of Science. It was really fun, and informative. We got to see Jupiter and three moons with the fourth being a shadow on the surface of the planet. It was so much fun.
This is the epitaph at the mausoleum of Percival Lowell. He is buried at the observatory, and it is fitting because it was his passion for astronomy that founded it.
This is the Observatories Library. It was built in 1916 and I couldn't get the whole building in the picture. It has a huge fireplace, and the light fixture in the center of the room is a beautiful rendition of Saturn. The image of it didn't come out as well as I had hoped though.

FALL FOLIAGE! Need I say more?

More Fall foliage outside the gate.

On the ride there at Sunset point. It is a very beautiful view of mountains and valley.
