The Raven

When I was younger I was terrified of Edgar Allen Poe. I liked to be scared at Halloween (only a little and I HATE gore in anything) so my mother would read me Poe and make scary noises until she found an album of Vincent Price reciting the famous works. I couldn't believe it, but I found a recording of The Raven online at the Playlist site, and so I have included it on my playlist as song number 2. Contrary to popular opinion I think the scariest things in the world are Hitchcock films, and a hint of no-good. Suspicion with Cary Grant still freaks me out! I don't want blood and guts for Halloween. So please take the time to enjoy something really scary and listen to track number 2.

Side Note: While most people find Bach toccata and fugue in D minor scary I have always envisioned him writing it because he was surrounded with fighting kids. What do you think? He had a LOT of kids, and he was probably working on it after he spent a day watching the kids for his wife :-)

I love visiting teaching!

It has been a great day doing something so great with my time. I love to go visiting teaching and love love love every visiting teacher I have ever had. I got to visit three new women this afternoon, and they were all so unique and different. I loved getting to know each of them a little bit, and hearing about their lives. They are all very different, and I like that. The cooler temps meant a walk to the park and some play time. With the breeze, cooler weather, and the corn stalks in my backyard garden it is really starting to feel like fall to me. I am tired so I will say bye for now. I love Autumn!
