Hospital Hangover
I have had one for the past week. I don't ever remember being as ill as I have been this past twelve days. Unable to move or get out of bed, forget brushing your hair or teeth..I would have qualified for assisted living or a home health! It was possitively the worst illness I have ever had. My lymph nodes on my neck and in my face were so swollen that I looked like I had triple chins (Ryan thought it was funny, but I can assure you I didn't) Then after seven days of that I went to the hospital and had this lovely little proceedure called a spinal tap. Now, I have had one before and a few epidurals and knew it wouldn't be pleasant, but I wasn't planning on having the former head of Aushwitz as my doctor. When he couldn't get it the first THREE times, he insisted that I hold still while he tried again. I was poked with meds up and down my spine, and then he attempted to gain spinal fluid FOUR times. I look like a battered wife! Now, since this wonderful experience I have had the spinal headache to end all, and when I sit up for even two minutes I shake and sweat and vomit. Fun times indeed! What do my kids and hubby have to say? "well, at least your losing weight" Which is true I have lost twelve pounds so far, but not at all the way I want to lose it. Good Health is EVERYTHING! Cherish it if you have it, and find a way to keep it. That said, I am done with complaining and never have I been so grateful for being able to feel a cool breeze, see the blue sky, and I daydream about playing outdoors every day. I have also decided that so that I can blog when ill I need a laptop. I can't wait to go back and read everyones missed posts, and I am sorry for the lapse in comments and posts.
